Happy New Year’s Eve!
I’ve been a bookworm all of my life, so it’s no surprise that I love to decorate with books as well! Coffee table books a great way to display your taste and typically feature beautiful covers that can add interest to your room’s design.
Below I’ve listed my favorite coffee table books books. I’ve read many of them several times and love their covers!
Not only do these books make for great decor, but they also make great gifts for the design lovers in your life!

In Living with Pattern, Rebecca artfully takes the reader through how to decorate with pattern and intention. The book features Rebecca’s design influences, watercolor sketches, and work by accomplished designers and creative persons.
I’ve personally read the book at least 5 times- often picking it up off my coffee table to read a section here and there. I love the watercolor cover in muted blues and always smile when I see the orange pages from the side.

Ode to Color was written by Lori Weitzner, an internationally acclaimed textile designer. She created 10 color palettes for living and home based on her life and professional experiences. It features stories from her life and travels, poetry and quotes and exceptional images from designers and from around the world.
We featured Ode to Color in our Natural Vibes Sunroom Project. It’s metallic cover with geometric design worked well against our trunk side table.
4. Foraged Flora
Foraged Flora is a beautiful bound book by floral designer Louesa Roebuck and writer, editor and co-found of Remodelista Sarah Lonsdale. It depicts beautiful ways to display organic inspired floral designers. It is organized by month and depicts both small and large floral arrangements. This book is astounding for it’s ethereal and unexpected pairings of foraged natural materials and florals.

We utilized Foraged Flora in our Cozy Natural Sunroom to pair as a deeper blue under the next book choice.
Nina Freudenberger’s Surf Shack features various photos of cozy coastal retreats. It’s the perfect book for a beach lover!

If you enjoy the finer things, or are just fascinated by fine decor, Christiane Lemieux’s The Finer Things is the perfect coffee table book for you! In this book, Lemieux interviews interior designers, decorative painters, wallpaper specialists and other experts in the world of design and decoration on what constitutes fine decor. It is a beautiful book filled with beautiful things.
Domino: The Book of Decorating makes design accessible for the home decorating enthusiast. It is a perfect book for young design enthusiasts and new homeowners.
New York Behind Closed Doors is written by Polly Devlin. Devlin interviews 24 New Yorkers and examines how they live. This book is beautiful and is perfect for those who appreciate eclectic interiors or love small space design.
