A guest bedroom we designed through a design consultation and a couple additional meetings.

DESIGN CONSULTATION

Looking for help with a DIY, seeking a fresh pair of eyes on your space, or a push in the right direction prior to starting a renovation or redecorating project? Or are you ready to embark on a full service interior design project?

The 90 minute consult might be just what you need to jump start your project! We offer space planning, architectural details, furnishings and style insights, and assistance with color!

Design consultations are perfect for DIYers and for those looking for full service interior design and decorating services.

Whether you need professional advice on your home renovation, are unsure of how to decorate your living room, are clueless about how to start your kitchen and bath renovation, or are ready to embark on a full service interior design project- a consultation is the place to start!

Why do you charge for initial consultations? Shouldn’t they be free?

At Lotus + Lilac we don’t just come in and tour your space and tell you what services we offer.

Our consultations are mini-design work sessions!

We leave you with real ideas in a design consultation document on how to proceed- regardless of whether you hire us for a full design project.

This document can help guide you in your DIY project or can be used when working with your contractor.

  • If you aren’t sure about whether to knock out a wall and renovate a bathroom, we’ll provide our professional advice.
  • If you want a new kitchen and are unsure of the right layout, we can help you there too!
  • Even if you want guidance on how to refurnish several rooms- we are happy to help!

One consultation can save you from making costly mistakes in your renovation or redecorating project because we will provide our expertise gained through years of experience, education and ongoing training.

FULL SERVICE + HOURLY INTERIOR DESIGN CLIENTS

And, for those clients that want to work with Lotus + Lilac for the design, furnishings procurement and/or project management, this consultation serves as our first project meeting. The information, inspiration and notes from this meeting will allow us to develop our initial design concept for your living room, kitchen, bathroom or whole home renovation or redecorating project.

GETTING STARTED WITH A DESIGN CONSULTATION PACKAGE

  • Discovery Call: Prior to our consultation, we will schedule a free 15 minute discovery call. We will discuss your needs to find the best way to collaborate with you during your consultation.
  • Book the Consultation: You can conveniently book your consultation through our online studio. This will get you set-up in our online studio platform. This is where we share all of the project information and communicate with our clients.
  • Inspiration Images: Once the consultation has been booked, our clients send us inspiration images from Pinterest, Houzz, magazines or any other inspiration they have gathered. This helps narrow your focus for the project and allows us to gain insight on your functional needs and aesthetic preferences.
  • Questionnaire: Complete our online questionnaire in our online studio. This programming information assists us in our design planning process.
  • Photos of your home or business: having this information ahead of the appointment allows us to bring the appropriate materials to the appointment and allows us to make the most of our design consultation session.

Ready to get started? Click the link below to book a consultation and we will schedule a discovery call.

A travel fee may apply for those outside of the area. We are happy to travel if you are outside of the area, please contact us directly to schedule.

Before + After: Watercolor Master Bedroom

The homeowners’ aesthetic has a more traditional bent, so we kept that in mind when planning the master bedroom. Healthy Home Tips to Promote Wellness: Indoor Plants for Cleaner Air

In our modern lives, most of us spend the majority of our lives inside working, learning and playing. As interior designers, we are cognizant that our interior environment should be functional and beautiful, but most importantly it should support our health!

We often talk a lot about the benefits of a well planned interior to support the functionality of our daily lives and for our mental well being. However, we are just as mindful of the use of materials and need to plan our interiors to support our physical health. The integration of these philosophies is the foundation of our work as holistic interior designers.
